Mondays are usually rest days, but that means doing the toughest intervals. Life intervals-mowing the lawn, washing clothes, running errands. All so you can clear the deck for riding the bike as much as possible for the rest of the week.
This weekend I also made way for social intervals-Going to see your friends that don't ride bikes. As the weekends get more crowded with training and racing, you tend to see the same people and loss track of your non cycling friends. Every once in awhile it is nice to go away and spend some time with people who aren't obsessing over gearing for mountain stages-as cool as that is....
